| The Bed and Breakfast Rifugio d’Autore is situated strategically in the village of Campazzo, in the heart of the Emilian countryside just outside Nonantola, home of the famous Benedictine Abbey, and a short distance from Modena, an important Emilian town and birthplace of Luciano Pavarotti. It is therefore the perfect starting point for a visit to places of artistic, cultural and historical interest in the region. Modena is just 8 km away, Bologna, 38 km and Ferrara, 58 km and visits can easily be made to small villages and farms with their own acetaia, where the traditional balsamic vinegar is made, and for which Modena and its area is renowned world-wide. Visits can also be made to the family’s own 30-year old acetaia, by arrangement.
